Moderation

The Moderation command group provides tools for managing user behavior, enforcing server rules, and maintaining a healthy community. These commands are restricted to members with moderation permissions.

Default Access and Visibility
By default, these commands require users to have the Kick Members or Ban Members Discord permission. Access can be adjusted in the dashboard to fit your server’s roles and moderation structure.
/mod kick [user] [reason] – Removes a user from the server. The user can rejoin if they have an invite. A reason can be included for logging purposes.
/mod ban [user] [reason] – Permanently bans a user from the server. You can optionally provide a reason to be shown in the audit log.
/mod timeout [user] [duration] [reason] – Temporarily restricts a user from sending messages or reacting. Useful for cooling off minor disruptions.
/mod untimeout [user] – Removes a timeout from a user early, restoring their messaging abilities.
/mod purge [amount] – Deletes a specified number of recent messages in the channel. Useful for cleaning up spam or inappropriate content quickly.
/mod nickname [user] [new nickname] – Changes the display name of a user on the server. Useful for standardizing names or addressing inappropriate nicknames. Requires the Manage Nicknames permission.
